Using field hockey as a tool to develop and empower youth
on the field and beyond.
Empower Field Hockey Academy is comprised of a Club (defined by members who live withing a 50-mile radius of Newark, DE, and includes Club-Competition players and Club-Development - i.e. "training only" - players) and Training Guests (defined by players who live outside the 50-mile radius) for each age group.

Training Seasons:
- Club-Competition and Club-Development Squads will train in fall and spring, and invited to train in winter.
- Guests are invited to train in winter and spring.
- Fall training days will be Monday evenings and midday Saturdays. Spring training will be Friday evenings and midday Sundays.
- During the winter season the Academy will not participate in indoor hockey, but will offer training opportunities around outdoor hockey and tactical, physical and mental areas of the game. (As we do not offer indoor hockey through our Empower Field Hockey Academy, our members are welcome to play indoor for another club during the winter.)
- The winter trainings will consist of turf trainings (Sunday afternoons) and tactical & mental training (Monday evenings).
- All Club-Competition Squad members will compete in at least one regional/national competition each season (fall and spring, with winter possible).
- Club-Development Squad members will not be assigned to compete in regional/national competitions, but may be invited.
- Empower will host club tournaments on its "home base" (Rullo Stadium) once per fall and spring season. All Club-Squad members (Competition & Development) will compete in the tournament, and Guest members are invited to play with Empower.
- Club members (Competition & Development) must reside within 50 miles of Empower Academy's 'home" (19711).
- Guest members can participate no matter where they reside.
